Terms of Service

Who you are dealing with

This shop is operated by Granary Digital Ltd, trading as Granary Digital Woodshop, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 14155621, whose registered office and workshop is The Old Grain Store, Adsdean, Chichester, West Sussex PO18 9DN. Email james@granary.digital, telephone 01243 884993. In these terms "we" and "us" mean Granary Digital Ltd, and "you" means the person or business placing the order.

What we sell

Scenic, display, grip and presenter carpentry for film, television, broadcast, live events and brand activations, made to order in our own workshop. Nothing is held in stock. Every piece is cut, assembled and finished after you order it, which is why lead times apply and why the cancellation terms in our refund policy are written the way they are.

Prices and VAT

The headline price shown against every product is the total payable including VAT at the current standard rate, and it is the price you pay at checkout. The smaller figure beneath it is the same price excluding VAT, shown because most of our customers are VAT-registered trade buyers reclaiming it. Delivery is calculated separately at checkout by size and weight, or you can collect free from the workshop by arrangement. We may change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order.

Your order

Your order is an offer to buy. It is accepted when we acknowledge it by email, and that acknowledgement confirms the specification, the price and the dispatch date. If we cannot build what you have ordered, or cannot meet a deadline you have told us about, we will say so and refund you in full rather than substitute something else.

Lead times and delivery

Our standard lead time is about ten working days from acknowledgement; larger and bespoke builds take longer and we will tell you the date before you commit. If you have a fixed shoot, install or event date, tell us before ordering and we will confirm in writing whether we can meet it. We deliver across mainland UK by courier for smaller items and by pallet for larger builds. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery or collection; ownership passes when we have been paid in full.

Bespoke commissions

Bespoke work is quoted individually. The quote sets out the specification, the price, the lead time and the payment stages, and it takes precedence over these terms where the two differ. Drawings and designs we produce remain ours; you get the piece and the right to use it, and we will not reuse your branding, artwork or confidential brief. We are happy to work under NDA and on a white-label basis.

Product images

Some product visuals on this site are computer-generated previews of pieces we make to order, and they are labelled as such, with the disclosure written into the image files themselves. Finish, proportions and materials are as described in the specification. Photographs replace previews as pieces are built. If the piece you receive does not match the specification we acknowledged, that is covered by our refund policy.

Cancellations and returns

Set out in full in our refund policy, which forms part of these terms.

Our liability

We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for your statutory rights as a consumer. For business customers, our total liability for any order is limited to the price of that order, and we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of production, studio or crew downtime, or any indirect or consequential loss.

If something goes wrong

Talk to us first: email james@granary.digital or call 01243 884993, and we will work it out. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you may bring proceedings in your own country.
